Sharlene Tate found the perfect hack to separate a bedroom using bunk beds so both of her daughters can have their own space. She shared the trick on the DIY on a Budget Facebook group.
With the bed in the middle of the room, Ms Tate added wooden panels to opposite sides of the bunks.
She wrote: “This was my big lockdown decorating project. Both my girls share a bedroom but there is a bit of an age gap between them and I wanted to give them their own space.
“We added wooden panels to opposite sides of the beds to block off the rooms.
“My oldest daughter has the top bunk and the first ‘room’ and then youngest has the bottom bunk and the ‘room’ at the back.”
Ms Tate’s oldest daughter now has space under her bed to fit a desk and dressing table, while the youngest has a cosy alcove, The Mirror reports.
To continue the illusion of separate rooms, Ms Tate re-painted one half of the room pale blue for her eldest daughter, while the youngest has retained the previous pink theme.
She added: “I’m so pleased with how it has turned out and my girls are over the moon with their own rooms!”
